Detailed Introduction:

In response to ever increasing demands to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, Caerphilly County Borough Council sought to obtain an LED light engine suitable for retrofit into its 8,200 residential luminaires. Excluding any life-expired lanterns as well as utilising existing columns and support structures, Caerphilly C.B.C. chose to replace the gear of its 70W High Pressure Sodium inventory; consisting mainly of Urbis ZX1 and Sapphire lanterns, together with a smaller proportion of Philips Iridium lanterns. The product had to meet strict design and performance criteria to secure these installation challenges and, following a robust procurement process,  was chosen as the successful supplier.
